Great Nook APP. Ever since I upgraded to windows 10 I cant read entire pages. The sentences get cut off or the application doesn't allow you to scroll downward to see the rest of the lines or content. I'm using the application on my PC. I still haven't upgraded my tablet from windows 8 to 10 so I'll continue using that in the mean time but this is a major bummer!
Wait for the next patch or update from nook saying that it has fixed the issue for Windows 10 users. I give this app a 4 star because it really is good and hopefully once its been updated it will stay that way.
I didn't give it 5 stars because of that issue plus it occasionally lags when trying to highlight or make adjustments to your notes. Again Solid app, just needs to be updated asap for the millions that probably read or use it. Slow to download, slow to turn pages, pages skip so you have to go forward a couple pages and then back to get the correct one to come up. Very disgusted. You need to get it together and fix this!
I have tried to highlight texts while I read with this app and it does work, nook for pc download windows 7. The same problem with the dictionary. This app is barely serviceable. I also wish there was the ability to move magazines to an SD card. Magazines are not centered, the bottom of the page is cut off, and the article view formatting is wonky. Soon you won't be able to link the two accounts. I am still not confident my magazine subscriptions are all set.
Other than that, the app works as advertised. This is a horrible app. Can't download and store on PC books you buy; they live "somewhere" in the BN cloud, although you don't have to be connected to the Internet to be able to read your purchases. The techs I spoke with this evening can't explain how that's possible.
If you try to download a book, you'll often get an error message asking you to archive and then unarchive the book, and if that doesn't nook for pc download windows 7, please restart the program. It's kind of like, buying a physical book, but can only read it in the store. And yes, as other people have mentioned it's all full screen.
The old Nook for PC app 2. All the goodies are there, too: highlighting, making notes, adding bookmarks; dictionary. Thank goodness it's still available on some sites. I don't know how it was fixed. I just tried using the nook reader after each windows 10 automatic update. It now does everything correctly. You had it right but it is messed up again. I have 2. If you can't fix it please recommend another app to use. No complaints. Works as advertised. While some functions work, scaling is the biggest problem with the app.
I see there's a new version of this app coming soon. I called 4 months ago and they said they were working on the problem. Got the same answer today. No idea why, but for grins I re-installed the Nook app on my Win10 Surface 3 and lo and behold it appears to be working OK. No display or downloading problems. Shouldn't have to do this to "fix" things in app.
